Nice big rooms,good breakfast.
Spa facilities were not open long enough, closing at 6.30pm was dissapointing.evening meal times very strick also.you have to be at the table no later than 8.00pm.its a holiday!!
We have stayed there before so knew what to expect and we weren't disappointed. The price per room is excellent value for money; the room was quiet, it was warm and the bed was lovely. The tv had a huge number of channels - both tv and radio - to choose from. Complementary tea, coffee, biscuits etc. were provided on each day and the room was thoroughly cleaned. The staff at the Mill on the Soar are so nice - helpful, pleasant and professional: nothing was too much trouble for them.
The convenience of the location was the main reason for booking this room. Rooms are far enough away from the pub to still be quiet. Functional and clean.
The room was a little dark, so needed lots of the lights on in the evening, but that's not a big issue. Could do with a key drop box for early departures, as the reception wasn't open when I left at 06.45am.
The staff are professional and friendly and made us feel welcome. During my stay the boiler was broken so there was no hot water. The staff tried to deal with it straight away, unfortunately the hot water wasn't available until the morning, it was no big deal, I used the kettle in the room to boil some water for the bath. The staff were very apologetic and even gave me a discount on the room when we checked out.
Mill On The Soar is right next to the main road, the noise from the road can be reduced with double glazing windows. Also the noise from other travellers can be reduced with proper fire door. The bathroom could also do with some updating.
Fantastic value for money. Staff really friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere, would definitely stay again. Perfect stay...
Shower wasn't the best!
The bed was comfortable.
I did not like anything about Mill on the Soar. We were rudely woken up by the cleaning staff banging on our door in the morning, twice. We had already been charged and checked out without being there. Apparently the staff 'thought' we had gone. Awful place, i do not recommend. You get what you pay for.
The rooms were very clean and good size
Thought the breakfast was quite poor - didn't think it was value for money.
Good price, friendly staff. Ideally located for me
The 'upgraded' bathroom looks tatty with the 'coating' on the toilet and sink peeling.
Good value for money with decent room facilities. Price did not include breakfast but that suited me as I had to be away very early so wouldn't have had time to eat anyway.
The staff were friendly in the hotel reception and were flexible with our check-out time. It was an ideal location for us for the one night we stayed. Would recommend the rooms for the location.
Whilst the rooms were clean, they were very tired and particularly the bathroom could do with a make-over. We could also feel the wind through the door. We also ate in the restaurant on the night we arrived, and whilst our starter was ok, the mains were not so great. The burgers were very overcooked, and normally we would have complained but we were in a rush to visit family. Whilst still eating our food the table next to us was cleaned using a spray, and as no consideration was given to us, I ended up with a mouth full of the spray. Not really impressed, although family have said they have eaten there on a number of occasions and it's been great.
It was near to where I needed to be. Restaurant very handy - didn't feel awkward being lone travelling female. Approachable staff.
Quite noisy from the nearby road, though this might not be a problem for some people.
Freundlichkeit, Angebot, Gegend.
So macht Essen richtig Spaß.
